This second webinar will detail design and analysis steps in the design of keel structures and engine girders, particular emphasis will be given to materials selection, laminate definition and modelling of structures and geometries via a live demonstration. The session will conclude emphasizing automated reporting capabilities and laminate tables export functionalities. This series of webinars will focus on the key aspects of designing sailing yachts and motor boats global structures, scantling reports for certification and detailed components design. The webinars will present a number of common components but also specific parts for both a 60ft cruising yacht and a 60ft sports motor boat. The main structures and components will alternate metallic and composite materials to suit a wide number of project requirements. In this series of webinar you will learn how to: ✔ Setup your vessel design project and define the vessel topology with panels and beams measurements ✔ Design for scantling certification, using either ISO and/or GL rules, gain immediate overview of pass/fail per component, automatically generate scantling reports. ✔ Build complex global and support structures such as keel structure and engine girder ✔ Add 3D components to your vessel, import or design your own rudders and keels, but also foils and dagger boards ✔ Perform advanced designs and complex stack-ups for bulkheads and penetration reinforcements, adding and defining patches and local reinforcements ✔ Automatically generate bill of materials including structural and non-structural elements for your entire vessel.
